is currently an assistant professor for analytical chemistry at the University of Siegen, Germany. He received his Dr. rer. nat. degree from Prof. Karl Cammann and Dr. Wolfgang Buscher and performed postdoctoral resea rch with Prof. Gary Hieftje. Carsten is a member of the Editorial board of JAAS . Research interests include fundamentals/applications of ICP-MS, plasma-based amb ient desorption/ionization mass spectrometry, glow discharges, and nanomaterials characterization.
