did her Master Thesis at the University of Plymouth (UK) in 1994 and her PhD Thesis at the University of Oviedo (1999). In 2000, she joined the research group of Prof. J.A. Caruso at the University of Cincinnati (USA) as Postdoctoral Fulbright Fellow until 2002. Back in Oviedo, she was first Research Scientist and in 2008 she obtained the position of Associate Professor. She is co-author of more than 100 original research publications and reviews. She participates in different research projects (national and regional) through which her research is funded.
